According to the WHO Weekly epidemiological update on COVID-19, the B.1..7(UK), B.1.351(South Africa), P.1(Brazil) are listed as the top variants of concern. Among them, B.1.1.7, was about 70% more transmissible than the original strain; These variants also accounts for the majority of the mutant strains worldwide. E484K and N501Y are the key mutations that help to identify the B.1.1.7, B.1.351, P.1 strains.
